Travel Teams
Travel teams are formed by evaluation and invitation only. Evaluations happen in the Spring. We expect to roster at least one A level team at the 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, and High School levels, and possibly additional A and B level teams as well. The exact number of teams and team level of play will be determined by the players available.
Players interested in House League or Learn to Play do not attend Evaluations.
Watch our Facebook page for coaching announcements.

Additional Information
We expect our 10U - HS Travel teams to practice three times per week. 90 Minute shared/60 minute full ice with one additional practice with Tier One Hockey and Mid-American Goal Tending. 8U will have 2 shared 60 minute practices. See our 8U BTHL program page for more information.
Email Updates
Updates about the season will mostly come through email. Gmail tends to route our messages to your Promotions folder. Please be sure to check that folder regularly. It may also help to add info@icehoundshockey.com and notifications@icehoundshockey.com to your Contacts or White list.
Accepting an Offer
When accepting an offer from a team, an initial $350 deposit will be due. You can choose to pay the remainder of the season in full, or sign up to have the remaining amount split into 6 equal payments which will be automatically charged to the same credit card used for the deposit on the 15th of each month June - November.
If your credit card expires or changes, you will need to log into your account at this site and update the credit card information. Failure to do so may result in late payment fees and could impact your player's status with the team.
Uniforms
We will schedule uniform sizing days to allow players to determine the correct size and to confirm jersey numbers. Travel Teams have matching jerseys, pants shell, and socks. All players will get new uniforms for the upcoming season, and the cost will be included in player fees. We are looking into a higher quality uniform that will hopefully hold up better.
All Travel players are required to wear a black helmet and gloves.
Schedule / Expectations
Travel teams practice three time a week, 90 minutes shared with another team and a 60 minute full ice practice. NEW for the 2025-26 season, a third practice will be held with Tier One Hockey/Mid-American Goal Tending.
In partnering with Tier One Hockey, Icehounds players will receive customized training programs designed to enhance their performance and overall fitness.
The continued partnership with Mid-American Goal Tending will provide Icehounds goalies with specialized training opportunities, furthering growth and excellence in goaltending.
Some teams also hold a weekly off-ice training session. Attendance at off-ice training and practice is expected.
8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U Travel participate in the Buckeye Travel Hockey League or the Metro Columbus league, and will play 12-16 home games per team, and at least as many away and tournament games.
Our HS team participates in the Cincinnati High School League, and will play around 20 home games, and at least as many away and tournament games.
Tournaments for all Travel Teams often start on Friday and may require kids to miss a day or two of school, depending on tournament location and first/last game time.
